Chelsea’s midfield maestro Mateo Kovacic has returned to training ahead of the clash with West Ham on Saturday.
Wesley Fofana and Denis Zakaria also stepped up their comebacks this week by being involved in team training, however the weekend game is likely to come too soon for them.
N’golo Kante did some very light work this week with some team mates as he aims to get back to full fitness by the end of February.
Kante has been out for six months so far and the medical team will no doubt be doing everything they can to not rush him back. Players still side-lined include Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy and Armando Broja. Broja is not expected to feature again this season after a horrific knee injury against Aston Villa in a friendly.
Graham Potter is looking for his 6th win in 16 Premier League matches against West Ham who are struggling down the bottom end of the table. Chelsea’s London rivals will however take confidence in the game after securing a 1-1 draw last time out against high flying Newcastle.
Chelsea finally making headway with injuries.
James, Chilwell, RLC, and Kovacic all available. Fofana and Zakaria stepped up their comebacks this week.
And told N'Golo Kante has done some *very* light work with his teammates as part of his recovery.https://t.co/Ls0gqnFRZL
