Chelsea and LA FC are in advanced talks for the transfer of Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, reports Mateo Moretto.
Chelsea would reportedly cover the full salary which would probably mean a loan move and the only thing both sides are waiting for is the “ok” from the player.
Aubameyang joined Chelsea last summer for around 12 million pounds but has failed to impress, scoring three goals thus far.
All in all it has been a strange time so far for Aubameyang at Chelsea, the proven goal scorer was signed under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel, only for Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital to sack him days later.
Aubameyang was very happy at Barcelona and there was doubts that he would even join Chelsea, one would think the only reason he did was because of Tuchel.
The Gabonese striker has failed to become a starter under Graham Potter and was even dropped from Chelsea’s Champions League squad.
Kai Havertz and David Datro Fofana seem to be the Blues options for the rest of this season plus potentially Joao Felix.
