We’ve all heard it a million times before – a player arrives at their new club and claims to be a fan of that team for life. With players like Robbie Keane, it became a running joke, as he made it through a about 5 boyhood teams in his career.
But that’s not what Noni Madueke has done at Chelsea. Despite joining us from PSV, Madueke is a Londoner really – although not a Blue. He admitted as much in a refreshingly honest interview which is available not on the 5th stand app.
“I started playing football when I was so young, I didn’t support a particular club,” he admitted.
Noni Madueke:
“As I started playing football when I was so young, I didn't support a particular club. I'm not gonna pretend I've supported #Chelsea my whole life, because that'd be lying. But I do now, because I'm gonna play for the badge.”

We like his honesty, and in fact the more we find out about his character the more we like it. Just like on the field, he’s got a cheeky side, but a solid honest base.
We think he really could end up being a fan favourite – despite not being a Blue from birth.
