Chelsea, for about the 8th year of the last 10, are without a decent striker.
They lavished money all through their side without finding the number 9 they needed, and they’re still suffering because of that.
If you were to give Graham Potter the choice of any striker in Europe, you’d have to think that Victor Osimhen would be in the top few. He’s young, strong, fast, technical, determined… he looks potentially the top 9 to take the baton from Robert Lewandowski and Karim Benzema.
It won’t be easy to sign him – as Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis has pointed on in an interview today.
Napoli president de Laurentiis: “Kvara and Osimhen? It won’t be difficult to keep our best players, we’re good with contracts — but never say never in case of crazy proposals. I think they will stay for long time”, told TNT Sport 🚨🔵

Both Osimhen and his exceptional teammates Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are locked in to long deals, and ADL says, and the kind of “crazy prosposal” to sign one would likely be above £150m.
It looks impossible for Chelsea to do given our recent spending… but can we rule anything out entirely?
