“Very strong performance” – Graham Potter details his thoughts on Chelsea’s loss to Borussia Dortmund

Graham Potter told the media that Chelsea had a “very strong performance” tonight, despite losing 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund.

This was not one of those games that causes debate, Chelsea were clearly unlucky tonight, they had 21 shots, of which 8 were on target, whilst having one cleared off the line and one hitting the crossbar from Joao Felix. On another night, Chelsea comfortably end victors.

That night could be in 3 weeks, more like it has to be, the Blues only have one more chance to turn things round, they will take comfort in the fact that they are at home and will feel assured of getting a result after matching up with Dortmund tonight.

Chelsea will also hope to have N’Golo Kante fit and ready for the second leg, one might think that Karim Adeyemi would have had a different outcome should N’Golo Kante have been in Enzo Fernandez’s place during that counterattack tonight.
