Joao Felix was taken off by Graham Potter in the second half of Chelsea’s defeat against Tottenham yesterday, a move that left ESPN pundit Julien Laurens extremely puzzled, to say the least.
He claimed that it was madness for the coach to take off one of his best players and potential match winners.
After a couple of nice early moments, Felix was actually very disappointing as the game wore on, and we weren’t as perplexed by Potter’s decision as Laurens was.
Still, when you’re 2-0 down to your biggest rivals, taking off any attacking player is rarely going to be a popular move.
