Graham Potter has only been Chelsea manager for a short while, but given the results he’s had he’s already quite experienced at putting a positive spin on a draw.
“It’s where we are at the moment,” he told Sky when asked to analyse the 0-0 draw with Fulham. He pointed to the new signings and the players returning from injury as the reason his team had looked so disappointed.
But as Jamie Carragher said in his punditry duties after the game, it’s Fulham at home. You should be winning that game whether you have new signings or not.
