Yesterday was a very dramatic day in football, and probably the craziest January transfer deadline day in history.
As we always expected, Chelsea were going to be very busy, and this did not disappoint. As well as sourcing a new midfielder, the club were looking to move one or two players on as well.
Re-live every single report and situation that happened for Chelsea on transfer deadline day!
Hakim Ziyech was in Paris all day trying to complete his move to PSG. It looked all set to go through before the 11pm deadline last night, but as of now, it looks to have collapsed.
Although, it looks like there might still be a slight chance it still goes through, as per the couple of tweets below reporting on it.
L'Equipe say that as well as Chelsea sending paperwork late for Ziyech's transfer to PSG, there was also an issue at LFP (French governing body for professional football).
'Their computer system experienced a breakdown in the evening'
On deadline day. A computer issue.

And this below from Ben Jacobs is just absolutely crazy.
Bit more on Hakim Ziyech's collapsed loan deal to PSG. Nothing will or can change tonight. LFP appeal tomorrow. Low confidence of success. Ziyech was stranded in PSG's club offices after paperwork wasn't sent on time. pic.twitter.com/JzvbEexwCu

PSG sources say Chelsea submitted documents too late. They will try with LFP with an appeal, but chances of success have been referred to as "low".

I’m pretty sure that this wont be the last we will be hearing about this one. Ziyech will be one unhappy man this morning for sure.
Excellent news. Its a win win situation for both parties. Chelsea and Hakim have a unique and rewarding season ahead under GP. This a a great technical manouver off the pitch that PSG did not see coming. Just as all remaining games of the season will experience with the resurgence of CFC.
