We’re not the only ones who treat Christopher Nkunku like a Chelsea player.
It’s been 6 months since Fabrizio Romano was reporting that the France star had signed up to join Chelsea at the end of this season, and so far we’ve seen no reason to doubt that.
He’s playing out his final season with RB Leipzig, but so far it’s been heavily disrupted by injury.
He missed the whole World Cup with a nasty knee problem, and only return to the pitch in the last couple of weeks.
But today we’re hearing he picked up a thigh injury in Leipzig’s 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund on Friday, and will be out for a few weeks.
It’s only minor – probably an echo of the former more severe issue – but it’s enough to get some fans concerned, given our injury nightmares of the last 28 months.
