Chelsea face Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
The suspension of Ben Chilwell after his first leg straight red means a start for Marc Cucurella at left wing back, and with him playing there, Wesley Fofana and Thiago Silva slide over to get Trevoh Chalobah into the back 3.
Reece James starts at right wing back, with a midfielder 3 of Enzo Fernandez, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante.
The front pair is Kai Havertz and Conor Gallagher. Potentially dynamic, but without any kind of developed chemistry or relationship yet. It’s basically a team without wingers, or strikers. We’re not sure how it’s expected to work.
There are a lot of very good players out there – whether they will be able to play together in any sort of recognisable pattern is a different question.
