In his interview after today’s draw with Nottingham Forest, Frank Lampard spoke about how he was pleased with Raheem Sterling – and pleased for him too. Sterling has the kind of killer instinct that the rest of the team don’t.
Of course his overall mood was sombre given his team had thrown away a lead, but he still had praise for Sterling, saying how good it was to see a winger scoring a goal from a cutback.
That’s the kind of goal that good teams score on a weekly basis, but Chelsea have barely scored all season.
