Likeliness of player staying at Chelsea increases with club refusing to pay asking price

A few players look, or have looked, almost certain to be leaving Chelsea this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino has come in as the new manager and he wants to reduce the size of the squad quite drastically, hopefully before pre-season that begins at the end of this month.

Sources: Kai Havertz actively pushing to move to Arsenal!

But many players are still here, one of which is Mason Mount, who was one of those that looked destined to leave. But as of right now, there is nothing close and if anything, the likeliness of him staying has only increased purely because the club that wants him are refusing to pay Chelsea’s asking price, and it looks like Chelsea are not prepared to lower it either.

But as you’ll see below, Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube last night that Manchester United are still refusing to pay the he €80million fee requested by Chelsea for Mount.

This might mean that Chelsea go into next season with Mount in the hope that Pochettino might be able to convince him to sign a new contract. This would be a risk, with his deal running out next summer.
