Manchester United make contact with Chelsea target’s reps, but another player more likely

Manchester United have made contact with one of Chelsea’s priority targets this summer, according to a report from The Athletic.

As we know, Chelsea are expected to make a big push to sign Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer after they have wrapped up a couple of departures.

Sources: Chelsea’s 5-man shortlist to replace Kai Havertz and Mason Mount!

But whenever there is a player with the quality of Caicedo, you are always going to get some competition for his signature.

In the report, the lead player they speak about though is actually Adrien Rabiot from Juventus, who’s contract expires this month. They say United have made contact with his reps.

But further down this article they also mention United have contacted the reps of Caicedo, but that’s pretty much all they say on that.

To me, a United move for Caicedo seems a little unlikely mainly because they are focusing on other players and other areas, and they can pick up Rabiot on a free if they really want to push for that. Let’s see, lot’s of potential outcomes here.
