Mason Mount’s Manchester United move appears to collapse after latest dispite

Mason Mount’s move to Manchester United is off, according to the Sunday Times.

Jonathan Northcroft is reporting that United have decided not to raise their offer from the third bid made yesterday, and will now walk away (at least for now) from negotiations.

This is exactly what we predicted when we heard that the third bid had been rejected, and we also predicted that they will come back later in the summer and pay what we want.

The other possibility is that Mount is going to stick around at Chelsea for another year and leave on a free in a year’s time. We’re still convinced he will ultimately be sold this summer as it just suits all parties, but the chances of him staying for at least another year have certainly jumped up in the last few hours. Certainly some sources are saying that he only ever wanted to leave because he felt forced out, and a rapprochement is certainly possible – we’ve seen players come back from much worse positions than this and end up signing a new contract, living happily ever after.

The danger for Chelsea now is that not only that Mount doesn’t go, but that United now come in to rival the Blues for Moises Caicedo, another possibility raised in the piece. He is not a similar player to Mount at all, we’re not sure what’s going on over there at all.

  1. Lo cierto es que chelsea ya debería de haber atado a Caicedo y respecto a Mount si no renueva que se vaya a las inferiores y a podar el césped
