OFFICIAL: Chelsea announced Kendry Paez transfer arranged

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Kendry Paez from Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, the club have just announced on a statement on their official website.

Paez is still just 17 and will only join in once he has had his 18th birthday, but a future move to Stamford Bridge is now arranged. He has a fantastic reputation as one of the continent’s top wonderkids, and has played plenty of first team action already, despite his tender years. He is part of a really impressive generation emerging in the Andean nation.

A dangerous winger with superb dribbling skills and great passing too, he’s currently at the U20 World Cup in Argentine looking a cut above the other in his age group. We can add him to the list of Chelsea players shining at that tournament – which bodes well for the future.

The terms of the deal aren’t clear yet and may take some time to filter through, but we would imagine we have created a strongly incentive based deal which will reward his former club greatly if he fulfils his potential.
