Last night’s Hakim Ziyech story has taken a few twists and turns since then – and Nizaar Kinsella’s report which was just released claims the whole move has broken down.
The reports of issues with his medical seem to be true – although Kinsella’s report is that it was all to do with his personal terms. Chelsea were apparently happy to accept a low fee on their part to make the move happen, but Ziyech’s demands have been too much for Al Nassr.
It’s not quite clear where the medical issues being reported last night (and again today by Ben Jacobs) came into things. It seems possible that having spotted potential issues, Al Nassr tried to change the terms of the contract they had offered to protect themselves against long term issues, and Ziyech declined those new terms.

After his move to PSG failed to go through at the last moment in January, this becomes the second move in two windows which has broken down at the final hurdle for Ziyech.
There’s still plenty of time this summer to get him to a new home, but this is a major blow both to Chelsea and the Morocco star.
