Telegraph: Chelsea consider move for top quality goalkeeper

Chelsea are reportedly considering making a move to sign one of the most sought-after goalkeepers around this summer.

Mike Maignan of AC Milan is one of the best stoppers in the world right now after another fantastic season in Serie A, and Chelsea are considering making a move to sign him.

Sources on Midfield: Matheus Nunes, Dominik Szoboszlai, Moises Caicedo, Mohammed Kudus, Romeo Lavia, plus outgoings!

That is according to the latest report from The Daily Telegraph today.

They say that a move for Mike Maignan is being considered by Chelsea, despite Mauricio Pochettino’s willingness to start the season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his No 1.

This would be an excellent move but he won’t come cheap. Chelsea, and Pochettino, should not even be considering going into next season with Kepa as the number one stopper. He simply is just not good enough. If he wants to stick around as a backup then fine, but Chelsea absolutely must seek a new number one this summer if they want to start climbing back up the Premier League table.
