Chelsea have plenty of haters – and our actions in the last 12 months have only served to increase their numbers – but even our biggest detractors can’t deny what we do well.
As Kieran Maguire pointed out on Sky Sports this morning, the club have been the most profitable in terms of player sales in the whole league in the last 10 years.
Of course that’s partly down to our production line of talent from the academy, as Maguire points out. Those players cost us nothing and can be sold for pure profit – the impending sale of academy boy Mason Mount is about to increase our lead in that department.

Chelsea have been doing their best to get players out of the door by the end of the month so they can book their profits on their accounts immediately.
