TalkSport became the latest company to be mystified by Chelsea’s desire to sell Mason Mount to Manchester United as they discussed it on their breakfast show this morning.
Presented Alex Crooks’ expression of “selling their soul to balance the books” is a very nice way of putting it, contrasting the romanticism of the home grown talent starting for his boyhood team with the mundanity of the accounting reasons behind his sale.
Oh well, it’s almost over now and we can move on to complaining about our next blunder.
