Rory Jennings was on TalkSport this morning talking about Raheem Sterling.
The winger signed for Chelsea a year ago, and was largely very poor when on the pitch all year.
Jennings says that for him, Sterling was the most disappointing signing since Fernando Torres, in terms of how high his expectations were compared to the reality of the player’s effects on the pitch.
We might not go that far, but he’s certainly up there. A lot is to do with the team he’s playing in – he was supposed to be the cutting edge of a Thomas Tuchel winning machine, and instead he’s now just another spare part in a messy pile.
