£50 million-rated Chelsea ace keen on staying despite transfer links

Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher wants to continue at Stamford Bridge next season.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks, and a report from the Athletic claims that the midfielder is now intent on staying at the London club and fighting for his place under Mauricio Pochettino.

West Ham United were hoping to sign the player and they have had a £40 million bet turned down for the player.

Apparently, the midfielder is valued at £50 million and it will be interesting to see if the Hammers can convince him to join them.

Gallagher might struggle for regular game time at Chelsea next season, and it will be interesting to see if he’s prepared to accept that challenge.

Chelsea have been linked with a number of midfielders in recent weeks and they are reportedly looking to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and Hove Albion. The 21-year-old is likely to be a regular starter and the long-term replacement for club legend N’Golo Kanté.

The Ecuadorian midfielder is set to start alongside Enzo Fernandez at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield if he joins the club.

Gallagher needs regular game time in order to progress as a player at this stage of his career and staying at Chelsea without game-time assurances might not be ideal for him.

A move to West Ham would allow him to play regularly and the Hammers will be competing in the Europa League as well.

  1. If Chelsea get all the players they are after then he will have to go because his chances of playing will be extremely non existence.
