From nowhere, reports appeared yesterday that Chelsea are close to signing Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes.
The midfielder is still just 19, but was a first team regular for the Bretons last season, and he accumulated a pretty impressive highlight reel for a player so young.
He gets around the pitch nicely and is very strong in the tackle. There are a few clips here of him winning balls he has no right to win, and his bravery on the ball is notable too. He’s still clearly quite raw, and a loan to Strasbourg as has been suggested would be great for him.
Having said that – he doesn’t look far off being ready for significant minutes at Chelsea.

Thanks for the heads up I definitely took the opportunity to watch him now and I think we definitely have a future center defensive midfielders if not now but the next two season very sharp energetic Like caciedo WOW WOW so cheap what a business Just we need him to jelly let’s watch him in the next or last friendly
But such player is better than Conor this us why we need to sell Conor after getting this guy and think of getting attacking midfielders like kadus!!
