The season is almost here but transfers are still dominating the news and the press conferences across football.
Speaking after the game against Fulham last night, Mauricio Pochettino was asked about how many players he still wanted to bring in, but he smartly refused to answer.
“I can create a problem [if I do that]” he smiled, remembering mistakes at Tottenham where he backed himself into a corner by being too specific. He was clear that he wants and expects further reinforcements – just don’t hold for breath for him to say just who or what he wants.
