Mauricio Pochettino took his press conference last night ahead of Chelsea’s friendly game with Brighton tonight, and he had a warning for the journalists there.
They had asked him about who he would choose as his new captain – would it be Raheem Sterling, who had spoken just before him?
Pochettino told everyone there that he hadn’t decided yet, and that he wouldn’t decide until it was time for the opening game of the Premier League season:
“My answer is going to the be the same [every time you ask],” he clarified. Let’s hope they got the message.
You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here:
🗣 "I need to see the reaction, how they behave, how they act, not only on the pitch but off the pitch."
