Nizaar Kinsella has today given the update that Chelsea have fans been waiting for – on the status of Christopher Nkunku’s injury.
It’s not terrible news but it’s not great news either. Kinsella reports that it’s going to be a case of “weeks rather than months” for the France international, who went down after a challenge from Mats Hummels in our final friendly game of the summer
It’s extra frustrating for fans because of how long we’ve been waiting to see him in action already – it’s almost a year since it was confirmed by every transfer insider in the game that he would be joining us this summer, and since then it’s been a tortuous wait.
To find out that he’s not going to be available for the start of the season is just a brutally frustrating moment.
Nkunku has looked great in preseason and the team have gelled around him nicely. Now all that work preparing for Liverpool will be for nothing as Mauricio Pochettino has to go back to the drawing board and work out which personnel to use in which way to get his attack firing.

That’s Chelsea FC needs cover for injury . They need to sign olise and wahi . NKunKu has a problem with his knee . Same as Wesley , good they got Desasi . Why Chelsea FC so much focus on caceido which their are loads of quality skillful player’s around the globe better than him . Those £80. Million offer they made can buy two quality skillful player’s to inject for strengthening the club in Central Midfield . Example Alvarez Lavia thuram and kudus as playmaker. . Chelsea FC shouldn’t be obbsess to buy caceido . New season is starting very soon and the reinforcement still not there . First game Liverpool. If they lost they blame manager and player’s . The owner should work with his appointed manager and support him . Communication is vital to make thie team successful . I wish they sign Franca his the key to be playmaker and cheaper than other’s link player’s to CFC . Good luck to new season .and hope good result again Liverpool.
