Chelsea have just now on their website announced the signing of Axel Disasi from Monaco.
The right sided centre back has signed a 6 year deal at Stamford Bridge after establishing himself as one of the best defenders in Ligue 1 in the past few seasons. He played 130 times for Monaco in all competitions, with many of those coming alongside Benoit Badiashile, who made the move to Chelsea back in January.
He has also broken into the senior France side, playing 3 times at the World Cup in Qatar.

The injury to Wesley Fofana, which looks set to keep him out all year, has clearly prompted this move. But with Mauricio Pochettino set to play a back four, and Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Benoit Badiashile already in place, it’s going to be interesting to see who wins the battle for minutes this season.
