Chelsea are being heavily linked with Tyler Adams at the moment, a move that is rather divisive within the fanbase.
If you want to form your own opinion on whether Adams would be a good signing, there’s nothing better to watch than this breakdown of his game by Kier Doyle.
It looks at how he played at RB Leipzig, then how he played last season at Leeds, and how we might expect him to adapt to Chelsea. Doyle notes that he’s a specialist in stopping players who are breaking away in transition, a key skill which Chelsea have lacked when N’Golo Kante has not been fit.

Great breakdown! Extremely astute. I hesitate to ever lump another player into the Kante category, but Adams’ ball-winning and loose ball collection makes him Kante-esque (or perhaps “Kante-liteâ€) in these areas. Like Kante, he’s extremely quick, closes very rapidly, and uses his small frame very effectively in the tackle. Given how badly we will miss Kante’s (and even Kovacic’s) ball-winning hed be a great pick up because he’s truly elite at these aspects of the game. As the analysis suggests, the biggest questions are about his abilities in possession and his propensity for injury.
On one of the video clips he was also playing against Moses Caseido and to be fair Tyler seemed more comfortable with and off the ball and general positioning. I say we go for Tyler, he will break those lines and defend. He is younger that Moses but will learn very quickly form M.P.
