Andy Townsend was on Talksport this morning, where he was presented with the idea of Neymar joining Chelsea. They seemed like they wanted him to talk up the idea – but he couldn’t really have been more negative.
He thinks the PSG star is going to Saudi Arabia, and wasn’t sure he’d even do well over here. He even said that the Brazilian “wouldn’t survive” if he were to move now.
To be fair to him, he’s not being a classic little-Englander, saying the Premier League is the best. He’s more saying that Neymar is past the point in his career where he’s going to be able to revolutionise his game to adapt to the physical game here.
