Enzo Fernandez has been rather eased back into this preseason, and we can understand why. As it stands he’s about the only midfielder in the squad, and will have to play a lot of minutes in the season to come.
Mauricio Pochettino has used him relatively sparingly, but he knows exactly what he has on his hands. In the press conference after the Fulham game, the Chelsea coach hailed his midfielder –
“He is very humble, he is a fighter, a fantastic player” the new gaffer said. The two Argentines are going to be central to any success we have this season.
