Levi Colwill was called up to train with England earlier this year, and it looks like his debut might come in the next fortnight.
He’s been called up to the latest squad, and coach Gareth Southgate was asked about him in the press conference today.
Southgate was very positive, praising both his season at Brighton last year and his start back at Chelsea so far this campaign. England are short of a really quality centre back, and Colwill could well be that man if he keeps progressing.
You can see the England manager speaking in the clip embedded here:
🗣️ “He’s doing really well, he’s progressing. We really liked him with Brighton. He had a really good tournament with the u21s.”
