We didn’t want to believe it when the news leaked earlier, but bigger sources are now backing up the story that Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku’s injury is surprisingly serious.
The attacker had a collision with Mats Hummels in our final preseason game and was taken off, but it felt precautionary, or at least like a minor tweak. But what was thought to be a matter of weeks is now more like a matter of months.
Can confirm, Christopher Nkunku looks set to be out for at least a couple months. Bit worse than initially thought. Absolutely gutting.

We haven’t had any official confirmation from the club yet, but now it’s becoming common knowledge we expect a statement tomorrow. The latest we’ll get word on it will be Mauricio Pochettino’s first pre game presser later this week.
It doesn’t sound like the news is too good re. Nkunku’s knee injury. Expecting #CFC to clarify the situation via the app/website on Tuesday.

If Nkunku is indeed out for months rather than weeks, an attacking signing is really pumped up Chelsea’s priority list. We can certainly expect to see a lot of Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk in the short term, no matter how they perform.

Speed recovery nkunku, we need back to be with Jackson at the front
