The summer transfer window has only just closed, but Chelsea’s desperate lack of goals means that rumours about us signing a forward are only being ramped up.
Talksport are today running an exclusive about our interest in Brentford forward Ivan Toney. They say we are “confident” of securing a deal for the striker in January.
It will apparently cost us £60m – not too bad if he can bring guaranteed goals.
The twist in all this is that Toney is currently suspended because of his betting offences, and has only just returned to training.
It’s not clear if he will have lot a little sharpness by being out for so long, or if in fact it means he will be extra rested and extra fresh for the rest of the season.
Still, given we have just 5 goals in 5 league games so far, it’s hard to imagine us not at least taking a punt if he is indeed available at that price.
The problem with Chelsea FC the hesitant of not signing experience player to mix with young players. They buying but not playing it . Example Santos if Chelsea FC regarded Santos is the future why on earth both caceido and Lavia . Now Washington he is in the bench but not given playing time to get experience in playing premier league. Now they said Toney , yes his quality and experience why not bought him last year. The recruitment team was blinded with ages of players acquisition though they still need experience . Caceido is young and experience but still not clicking . Chelsea FC should change their tactics of acquiring player’s then stock piling them . Soon they’re release them then they’re start showing their skill playing for another team . Poch should give this young team experience playing more playing time than selecting his own favourite player . He should try to play back four and play those attacking players they have bought to get Chelsea FC system tactics. Why not start maatsen in central midfield alongside Caceido Enzo or Lesley Enzo maatsen. Then give mudryk more playing time to get his confidence back . Partner him alongside Jackson . Noni /Palmer ,let sterling rest . Hope he pick his squad right to win against villa . If he choice same player’s same tactics I will doubt him . Good luck tomorrow. Hope for the best .
