Asmir Begovic went on Alex Goldberg’s podcast today and had a proper rant about the state of Chelsea at the moment.
Whether or not you agree with him, it’s always nice to see a player finally unleashed and able to say what he actually thinks.
One of his main gripes was the standard of player being signed. We’re buying players from Brighton now, he pointed out, not Real Madrid or Barcelona. “Where are the world class players?” he asked.
He even went as far as to call it a “mid table squad.”
Harsh – but fair?

Sorry, but since when does anyone care what Asmir Begovic has to say, lol?! Are Reece James, Enzo Fernandez, or Thiago Silva not world class enough for him? I think he’s mistaking youth and perhaps inexperience for lack of talent.
