Malo Gusto has been given a straight red card for Chelsea against Aston Villa.
The French right back went in hard on Luca Digne, and while he did get some of the ball, was judged to have been excessively forceful. His studs caught the Villa player, and you can’t have too many complaints. VAR knew right away.
It gives further difficulties to the team going forward too. Gusto will be out for 3 games, and Reece James isn’t ready to return yet. Things continue to go from bad to worse.
