Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez made some bad early mistakes tonight – Sanchez in particular almost cost Chelsea two goals.
Both recovered some credit later in the game – Sanchez for some good saves and Cucurella for some big challenges.
Mauricio Pochettino was certainly focusing on the positives when asked about their nights. Even when asked about the mistakes, he put the blame on their teammates for not providing the right angles for passes.
There’s an element in truth to that – but if there’s no pass on, you should just lump it long, Robert.
