Thiago Silva was visibly angry about what was going on on the pitch today.
He remonstrated with his fellow defenders, and also urged for more discipline from his midfield as they left him increasingly exposed as the game became more stretched later on.
After the game Mauricio Pochettino was asked about it, and he admitted that he and his staff had spoken to Silva at full time and told him to be more “relaxed.”
Pochettino certainly wasn’t angry at his most experienced player, and in fact he explained things from the defender’s point of view quite well.
