Speaking to Chelsea TV last night was another difficult challenge for Mauricio Pochettino.
He wants to remain upbeat, no matter the circumstances. That can be very hard. Yesterday’s defeat to Aston Villa was another bitter blow, but Pochettino insisted on praising some performances.
“Until Malo Gusto was out [with a red card], we were the best team” he claimed.
In his press conference interview he even pointed to the number of chances his team had created when they were ten against eleven. So either he really means it, or he’s just committed to being relentlessly positive no matter what else.
