Mauricio Pochettino had a very simple explanation for why Chelsea struggled so much today, as they did in the defeat to Nottingham Forest before the international break.
“The reality we cannot change. We have too many players [out]. Even Man City and Arsenal and company would struggle.”
On the one hand it seems like a lazy excuse to just complain about injuries. On the other hand, when you actually consider the total nightmare he’s had to suffer, and what was on the bench today, it’s hard to deny he’s got a point.
