Jon Obi Mikel was one of the Chelsea legends called up to play Bayern Munich last night, and he spoke in his usual jovial style to Hayters after the game about the current team.
“They need us back” he joked – and to be honest he’s not far off. The way Michael Essien got up to head the opening ball home was far more impressive than most of what we’ve seen from our strikers in the last couple of years.
The defensive midfielder is confident that this team will turn it around – let’s hope he’s right.
