(Video): “Young players have the ear of the hierarchy” – Pochettino could be undermined by youngsters warns ESPN pundit

Janusz Michallik was on ESPN today talking about the crop of new players at Chelsea and the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino to get them all playing well.

He points out one interesting factor he thinks has developed since he was a player – he thinks that the younger generation of footballers are more likely to go to senior club figures if they think the manager isn’t treating them fairly.

“Young players have the ear of the hierarchy,” as he put it, meaning that managers can even more easily be the fall guy if there’s any discontent in the dressing room.
