“Arsenal set for another apology” – individual claims PGMOL at fault again

Arsenal are set to receive an apology from the PL over two incidents against Chelsea on Sunday, according to the below X account (formerly Twitter)

He claims via his information that there is acknowledgment that Arsenal should have had a penalty when Robert Sanchez fouled Gabriel Jesus by launching himself into the attacker in the box from a cross.

I personally don’t know if the information is true, but what we can say is that there was definitely a lot of debate over the weekend and even Alan Shearer on Match of the Day said that it should have been a penalty and also on ref watch, former referee Dermot Gallagher said that Robert Sanchez could not argue if it was given a penalty.

The account which claims the information says that it is also believed that the on field officials got too involved in the penalty incident, where Mykhailo Mudryk was eventually given a penalty by VAR for heading the ball against the Arsenal defenders hand.

The on field officials supposedly believed that Mudryk was too close to Saliba during the replays however, VAR instructed referee, Chris Kavangh to go and look at the VAR screen where the referee decided it was a penalty.

  1. Again my own feeling there’s nothing the apology can help/relief because you already lost the Three points, It would only carry sense if they are going to give the team they are apologizing to the three points they already lost maybe otherwise the apology carries no advantage after loosing points , I rather get points and miss apology!!!!.
