The debate around Stamford Bridge or no Stamford Bridge is certainly one that you may have been involved in or seen others involved in on social media lately.
Today, Stoll confirmed that Chelsea had bought a plot of land next to the ground which would make you think that the owners of the club may be thinking about redeveloping Stamford Bridge rather than moving.
In my opinion, Chelsea should move to Earls Court and build a new ground, firstly because I am not convinced that the amount of money that would be spent on Stamford Bridge (1 Billion plus) would be worth it for the extra 10-15,000 seats.
Secondly, the amount of years that we would spend away from the ground and the relocation options such as Wembley and Twickenhem are not really attractive locationally, and clubs would relish the chance to compete against Chelsea at stadiums like those, where they would have never usually have a chance to play, I believe the smaller games quote on quote, would become even harder.
As much as I love Stamford Bridge, I think long term we should try something fresh and new, something that can be built from the ground up and this way, we can still enjoy years at Stamford Bridge whilst the new ground is being built.
