I was having a look at some of our home kits from the previous seasons earlier, and honestly, I feel like this season’s kit is the best in years.
I am personally one for clean kits with minimal design and pattern, so there’s no wonder why some of my other favourites include the 2010 home kit and the 2017 home kit.
The sponsorless kit option was never intended to happen of course.. because Chelsea had been trying to get a front of shirt sponsor before this season’s release, but they had deals blocked, notably paramount.
In any case, I believe Chelsea should actually give fans the ability to buy both options next season, sponsored kit and sponsorless kit. It would not only bring the club more revenue, but so many fans that I saw online loved the sponsorless kit option, and the demand was very high with shirts selling out online within a day, so it is something that the club and the partners involved should give serious consideration to.
