“I think his fee could be around 25 million as it was in the summer” – Fabrizio Romano speaks about Chelsea defender

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffside that Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah could leave Chelsea in January for around 25 million pounds, the same price tag that clubs wanted to pay for him in the summer.

The Blues defender clearly wants to play regularly again and despite being injured this season and relatively consistent in past seasons for Chelsea, it is expected that he will still be behind the likes of Axel Disasi, Thiago Silva, Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill in the pecking order when he returns.

Bayern Munich held interest in the summer and they could return, although the following tweet below states how nothing is guaranteed yet in regards to potential clubs and the price tag.

Chelsea would do well to get 25 million pounds for a player who has not been playing and is so far out of favour at Chelsea, although they are in a strong negotiation position with Chalobah coming with an English premium and several years still left to run on his contract.
