When the ball fell fortuitously to the feet of Armando Broja early on in Monday night’s game against Fulham, he did really well to manoeuvre it around the goalkeeper and create an almost open goal.
What happened next was all too familiar. He got it all wrong, and skied it. For a while it felt like our returning forward was already being hit by the same scoring curse as the rest of the team.
But when a second chance fell to him moments later, he made no mistake. It was superb to see him shake off the early miss and finish so confidently.
