Shaka Hislop was asked to sum up Chelsea’s current state, and he was far more generous than most Blues fans would have been if asked at the same moment.
Perhaps it’s just because the fans have to go through the agony of watching their team week after week, and their patience has worn thin through 18 dreadful months. Whatever the reason, Hislop was far chirpier than you’d expect.
“The football is improving,” he pointed out.
That’s true – but we may need more progress than that to stop the booing at Stamford Bridge.
