Thiago Silva was back to his imperious best against Arsenal on Saturday, running the show with calm and composure while his central defensive partner Levi Colwill had a couple of shaky moments alongside him.
We’ve heard plenty of criticism of Silva in recent weeks, so it was great to see him play like this. There are a couple of moments in Chelsea TV’s Unseen Extra feature on the game which show it – a couple of decisive tackles he made making up for teammates’ mistakes up against some of the dangerous dribblers that Arsenal have.
