Despite Chelsea’s defeat today, there are a couple of players who started the game in Blues who walked away with credit to their name.
Conor Gallagher deserves plenty of praise for his performance today – as always he was full of fight from the first minute to the last, and for long periods late on was the only Chelsea player actually still fighting for a point.
But Cole Palmer was even more unlucky to be on a losing team. His performance, especially in the first 45 minutes, was superb, and he could easily have had two or three assists.
