According to The Independent reporter Miguel Delaney, Chelsea’s board have spent the last few months analysing what made Manchester City’s 100 point plus campaign success.
Some might say this goes without saying, If you are a club that is trying to challenge Manchester City long term and you are not trying to emulate them by using their work as a template, are you really their competitor?
Even so, the finer elements such as what goes on behind the scenes at such a successful club will be the sort of thing that Chelsea will be trying to gather information on.
Of course, Manchester City have the greatest manager in the World but the finer workings like the medical staff, upwards communication, recruitment, daily standards and much more are reasons that lead to group success.
Chelsea may be 10th in the table but this season’s performances have warranted better results and I am sure with more luck, key players returning such as Nkunku and Lavia and perhaps a striker in January, more happy times are ahead.
