There is a storm brewing following the deduction of points from Everton.
Chelsea are in hot water, and eager fans of other clubs are hoping that the Blues will be next to have points taken off them – or worse. But David Ornstein has done his best to calm things down, speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s “Five” channel.
“These cases are not the same,” he explained. While Everton’s is relatively open and shut, and they’ve admitted to their wrongdoing, Chelsea have yet to be charged with anything at all, despite having notified the Premier League of wrongdoing under the previous owners.

We’re still potentially in a lot of trouble, with both UEFA and the Premier League looking into our affairs, but points deduction still sounds like it’s a long way off, especially given these are mainly historic offences from the previous ownership.
